World Cardmaking Day Prizes

It's Tara today, interrupting Colouring Week as I swapped days with Julia so I could bring you a little something special for World Card Making Day!   Julia will be back to finish off colouring week in style tomorrow with a great video for you too.   This is going to be a long post - so grab a cuppa and make sure your read all the way to the end or you might miss a chance for a prize!

Firstly - I've been having a play with the gorgeous new stamps and dies from Paper Smooches which arrived in store yesterday and made a couple of cards with inking backgrounds as my theme.

For my first card I used the super cute Reindeer from A Holy Holiday which is FULL of useful and cute Christmas sentiments too.   I used distress inks to blend the background and went old-school with a toothbrush and my finger to make the snow.  I created a hill with the Lawn Fawn border set which is currently out of stock but will be back soon I promise and then stamped the Reindeer over the top of both layers in black.  His nose is just a big blob of stickles and then I tied the colours together by stamping the sentiment in two colours and going over the merry with a red glitter pen.

For my second card I did another blended background, spritz with water with gold mica in it but this time my silhouette came in the form of Bethlehem using the new Cityscape 1 Die with yellow card behind the windows.   The sentiment is from A Holy Holiday again and the star is from A Blessed Christmas which is again packed full of useful little stamps.

So that's my playtime over - hope you like them!

NEWS FROM THE STORE THIS WEEK:

  • Paper Smooches Christmas stamps have arrived.
  • Altenew restocks have arrived so the very popular flower stamps are now back and waiting.
  • We've had restocks on all the Hero Arts inks along with their Christmas stamps and stencils
  • We've had lots of lovely new paper pads, sequins and washi tape.
  • The latest releases from Wplus9 which are just being sneaked are on their way.
  • The latest (and still secret) release from Mama Elephant is on its way too - all I can say is you're going to LOVE it!   We will also be stocking their ink pads now too!
Finally to celebrate World Card Making Day today we have a great big prize package for you - all you have to do is share it around as much as possible and use the rafflecopter form below to show what you've done.  The winner will be drawn on Monday.   You can win the BRAND NEW stamp and die set from Wplus9 as well as 3 of my favourite Paper Smooches Stamp sets.   That's a huge prize worth over £50!

See you next week!
